Job Description

Field Manor has a busy calendar of events that include fundraisers, private and corporate events, and of course, weddings!  This position is part time and flexible, with full training provided. 

Associate Director of Marketing and Events

The Associate Director reports to the Director of Marketing and Events and is responsible to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and secondarily to the full Board of Directors. This is a part time position capped at 30 hours per week, additional hours must be approved by the Director of Marketing & Events.

The Associate Director has the responsibility to support the Foundation’s mission through fundraising, sales, and marketing.

Strategic Leadership, examples include:

● Creation of marketing and sales strategies to increase bookings and multiply donations to the Foundation

● Assist the Board of Directors in long-range strategic planning and implementation of those plans

● Provide both support and leadership to the Board of Directors

● Serve as the liaison between the Board of Directors and staff, donors and partners

● Work with all departments for the betterment of the Foundation

Marketing and Sales, examples include:

● Help manage social media platforms to engage potential clients and existing supporters for fundraising events and wedding/private events

● Website upkeep and maintenance to reflect all upcoming events and opportunities for donors as well as the showcasing of long-range plans and ongoing achievements of the Foundation

● Creation of cohesive branding for Field Manor Foundation and its varied endeavors

● Creation of all relevant marketing material to support upcoming events and fundraisers at Field Manor, including digital and print

● Research and creation of promotional swag and saleable items to support fundraising

● Building of community partnerships to support Field Manor, through the donation of

labor/expertise, financial assistance, or Gifts-In-Kind

● Networking and bringing new sponsors and supporters to Field Manor

Human Resources and Administration, examples include:

● Help create task lists for the completion of events in support of the Marketing and Events Director

● Annual completion of Director review to facilitate fair and helpful employee reviews

● Relaying all financial data to the Director of Marketing and Events in a timely fashion to ensure all bookkeeping stays current   ● Post events, complete income sheets and submit to the accountant

Events and Fundraising, examples include:

● Answer emails and establish communication with clients via Honeybook

● Prepare and build any necessary forms for events in Honeybook

● Scheduling and touring of prospective clients

● Follow up with clients and confirm any relevant details

● Prepare and send contracts and invoices for bookings

● Maintain contact with clients and answer any relevant questions they may have

● Set dates for planning meetings, rehearsals, and private events or weddings

● Execute planning meetings with clients to discuss wedding day timelines and floor plans

● Execute planning meetings with clients to discuss timelines and floor plans for private and corporate events, as needed

● Coordinate with any participating vendors to confirm details, then create digitized versions and email to all necessary parties

● Act as day-of coordinator for weddings and other events, and as the main point of contact for both clients and relevant vendors

● Assist in the creation of fundraisers for the Foundation and help oversee the process from conception to completion

● Assist the permitting process with the creation of required supporting forms

 

Board, EC and Volunteer Relations, examples include:

● Assist the Board with identifying community members who may be appropriate for board

service and support their recruitment and orientation to the organization

● Recruit volunteers for appropriate positions within the organization

● Participate in monthly staff meetings with Directors and all staff

Requirements:

- Has a hospitality or marketing degree or relevant industry experience

- Complete all other duties consistent with the role

- Possess excellent people skills and be flexible within constantly shifting environments

- Collaborative and supportive of everyone engaged in work at Field Manor regardless of reporting structure

- Be a self-starter and possess strong organizational capabilities

- Be creative and willing to think outside the box to support the Foundation in fundraising and sales strategies

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, if needed

- Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation

Salary

Hourly Pay: This position starts at a base pay of $17.00 per hour, and is subject to a three month probationary period.

 

Commissions:  You'll earn 5% commission on every wedding worked.  

Health Stipend:  After the three month probationary period, you are eligible to begin receiving a monthly $100 health stipend.
